Data
The FPB not only publishes the results of its research, but also a set of databases. These databases can contain either historical data or forecasts.
The statistics and projections are based on the principles of the Eurostat energy balances. The projections are mainly generated with the aid of the energy model PRIMES.

This file completes the publication “The Belgian energy landscape by 2050 : an outlook assuming no changes in policy” which is updated every 3 years. The file contains data for the period 2015-2050.
The Air Emissions Accounts present the emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC, SF6, CFC, HCFC, SO2, NOx, NH3, NMVOC, CO, PM10 and PM2.5 expressed in physical units by economic activity (NACE Rev.1.1) and for three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other), over the period 1990/95-2008.
The Air Emissions Accounts present the emissions of CO2, Biomass CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC, SF6_NF3, SO2, NOx, NH3, NMVOC, CO, PM10, PM2.5 expressed in physical units by economic activity (NACE Rev.2 A64) and by three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other). Emissions accounts are available for the period 2008-2022.
These accounts present the evolution of the domestic extraction of and the international trade in four types of materials (biomass, metal ores, non-metallic minerals, and fossil energy materials/-carriers) during the period 1995-2022. In addition, they also show flows from the economy to the environment, balancing items, and a set of indicators (part of which also expressed in raw material equivalents for the period 2008-2020).
The energy use account presents the yearly energy use of all Belgian residents over the period 1990-2008. The use in terajoules of 17 different energy vectors is presented by economic activity (NACE Rev.1.1) and for three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other).
These accounts present the evolution and composition by environmental domain and industry of the environmental goods and services sector during the period 2014-2022.
These accounts present the evolution and composition by environmental domain and institutional sector of the output of environmental protection services and of environmental protection expenditure during the period 2014-2021.
This account presents the distribution of three types of environmental taxes (taxes on energy, taxes on transport and taxes on pollution and resources) across industries (NACE Rev.1.1), households and non-residents for the period 1997-2008.
This account presents the distribution of four types of environmental taxes (taxes on energy, taxes on transport, taxes on pollution and taxes on resources) across industries (NACE Rev.2 A64), households and non-residents for the period 2008-2022.
The physical energy flow accounts record energy flows which circulate in the economy and between the economy and the environment. The PEFA report energy flows according to their origin and destination, both divided into five categories: production by industry (NACE Rev.2 A64), household consumption, accumulation, rest of the world and environment.
The PEFA are available for the period 2008-2022.
This database contains annual series covering the period 1996-2025. The forecasts take into account Part 1 of the 2023 national accounts as well as the quarterly aggregates until the second quarter of 2024. These forecasts have been approved by the board of the National Accounts Institute and by the Scientific Committee for the economic budget.
This database provides the statistical annex of the latest medium-term outlook for the Belgian economy. It contains yearly figures covering the period 1996-2029. The data are delivered by the HERMES model.
In this database, domestic employment, labour volume (hours worked) and the wage costs of wage earners are broken down per industry (A38 of Nace rev. 2) according to gender, age group and education level. The breakdowns of employment and labour volumes are available for wage earners and self-employed people separately. The database provides annual results for the period 1999-2020, corresponds with the last edition of the national accounts (October 2021) and is the source for the employment, labour volumes and wage costs data in the EUKLEMS database for Belgium.

The data in this section refer to the years 1980, 1985 and 1990 and relate to the input-output tables, the matrices of pure technical coefficients and the Leontiev inverse matrix. The tables were drawn up according to the European System of Accounts 1979 (ESA79).
The 1995 and 2000 input-output tables were drawn up according to the European System of Accounts (ESA95), which entails a break with the earlier 1979 ESA tables. There are differences in the industry and product classifications, as well as at the conceptual level. The data are published in the form of 12 60x60 Excel tables.
The 2005 and 2010 input-output tables have been calculated according to the European System of Accounts 1995 (ESA 95). The data are published in a set of 10 tables and are available at three aggregation levels of Nace Rev. 1.1 for the year 2005 (17x17, 31x31 and 60x60) and at the aggregation level of 64x64 of Nace Rev. 2 for the year 2010.
The input-output system for 2010 was calculated in line with the rules of the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010). The data are published in a set of 10 tables and are available at the aggregation level of 64 industries (A64) and 64 product groups (P64).

The input-output tables for 2015 were calculated in line with the rules of the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010). Compared to the first version of the 2015 input-output tables published in December 2018, the tables presented here incorporate the occasional revision of the national accounts implemented by Belgium in 2019. The data are published in a set of 10 tables and are available at the aggregation level of 64 industries (A64/NACE REV. 2) and 64 product groups (P64/CPA 2.1).

The multipliers presented here include the output, income and employment multipliers of the final demand in Belgium for the years 1995, 2000 and 2005. They were calculated using a series of updated input-output tables at constant prices, in line with the National Accounts published in November 2010.
The multipliers presented here are the output, income and employment multipliers of final demand in Belgium for 2010. They have been calculated with data from the 2010 current price input-output tables, which were published in December 2013. These tables have been constructed following the ESA 1995 and the Nace Rev.2/CPA 2008 industry and product classifications.
